The year 2020 was a long, difficult, and reflective journey for homo sapiens.
Globally, the effects of the pandemic, economic recession, lockdowns, and restrictions have plunged human lives and conditions into the extremity of everything. This year has taken much away from all of us. Some of us have lost loved ones, some of us have lost livelihoods, some of us have lost the freedom of movement, some of us have given up the freedom, and some of us have lost a little bit of everything.
Human resilience is evidence that survival is possible. Even in the face of the biggest challenges. Human ingenuity is limitless when it comes to saving fellow human health. The impossible seems to be possible. The COVID-19 vaccine is almost rolled out in many parts of the world. We have seen beyond the daily routine of life. We have seen how being locked up feels. We have seen how the worldwide flow of people and trade stops. We have seen how empty our holy and scared places become. We now wish to get over with this. We now feel that we can bring normal back to our lives and cherish it. When all of this craziness is over, we wish to become humble and enjoy our little lives with travel and adventures.
By taking this opportunity, at the end of this year, I want to share the photographs captured during 2020. In some parts of the world, people always value life and soul over the material. Despite the pandemic, harsh economic burden, and extensive lockdowns, we have overcome fear. Fought with false and negative information. To celebrate little, I am sharing my work. These photographs are a reflection of this year from the perspective of my lens and the little freedom that I had to capture these photographs.
I wish you all a happy new year, happy and healthy 2021.
